Labor Management Monitoring Committee (LMMC)
This is a joint committee of employers, workers, and union representatives. The purpose of this committee is to establish a forum of trust, cooperation, to effectively address and resolve workplace issues. The committee can suggest improvements, then monitor the implementation, and work on minor problems. Any proposed changes that are subject to collective bargaining must go through the full negotiation process. |
Credentials Committee
Strict credentialing is required of acute care hospitals and managed care systems. This committee reviews the qualifications of medical staff and affiliated staff who have applied for or who are currently working in the system. The licensure, training, experience, past history, proctoring, and ability to perform the clinical privileges are reviewed every 2 years. Standardized Procedures are reviewed and approved by this committee. There is an Advance Practice Provider (APP) on this committee, who acts as a liaison with CIDP. |
Committee for Interdisciplinary Practice (CIDP)
CIDP is a subcommittee of the Credentials committee. The committee is comprised of affiliated staff from various disciplines, physicians, and a nurse administrator. There are several APP on this committee; from community medicine as well as hospital. Standardized Procedures (SP) are reviewed every 3 years, and changes may be recommended. The changes could be minor or they could be significant enough to have an effect on practice. It is therefore important that the APP in each department be involved with the Standardized Procedure review process. When the SP is approved by CIDP, it is then sent to Credentials committee for review and final approval. |
